Gosho Guruma (御所車) is an imperial cart which was rode by the imperial family and nobility in carriages drawn by oxen in ancient and medieval Kyoto.
This silk fabric is designed with Japanese auspicious motifs such as Kiku (chrysanthemum), Botan (Peony), Matsu (pine trees), Ume (Apricot blossoms) and Tsuru (crane bird) featuring imperial carts.
Gold leaves are pasted in many parts of this fabric and some scattered gold is acting as the shine of the water at the bottom of the fabric.
– Wooden frame gold gilded
– The mounting (border) is acid free made with paper and cotton
– The backing is humid protected and acid free
– Clear glass
