Japanese Calligraphy Sumi Ink

This is a bottle of Japanese Calligraphy Sumi ink 180ml.

書道 Japanese calligraphy is the way of writing with brush and Sumi ink.

‘書 Sho’ means writing  and ‘道 Do’ means the way of doing something.

It is an art of writing Chinese character, kanji and Japanese kana on Japanese paper called Hanshi.

You can prepare sumi-ink by rubbing the ink stick with some water in the ink stone, but it takes some time so we add this ink to bring the darker colour.

This sumi ink can be used from children to adults.
