In Malta, there is holiday of 3 months for kids. This summer I couldn’t go out much as I was pregnant and also had a baby we spent a lot of time at home. So we did a lot of things at home and one of the things we did was to cook and make desserts with kids.
We tried some Matcha desserts too so I would like to write recipes here. The texture is like cream caramel but with matcha flavour
Matcha pudding (with fresh cream)
For 5 cups
Matcha powder: 1 tbsp
Milk: 200ml
Fresh cream: 200ml
Sugar: 50g
Gelatin powder: 5g
Hot water (to melt gelatin powder): 50ml
Directions:
- Put fresh cream, milk and sugar in a pan and stir in small fire until the sugar melts
- Put sift Matcha powder in the pan of (1)
- Melt gelatin powder with 50ml hot water then put it in the pan of (2)
- Put the pan in a cold water to cool down the mixture
- When the mixture becomes thick pour in cups and refrigerate
- When it was hot i also froze it for 1 hour and it was also nice 🙂
Matcha pudding (without fresh cream)
Matcha powder: 1 tbsp
sugar: 50g
Milk: 300ml
Gelatin powder: 5g
Water (to melt Gelatin powder): 2 tbsp
Directions:
- Melt the gelatin powder with 2 tbsp water
- Heat milk in a pan. Stir sugar until it melts.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add sifted Matcha powder and stir
- Add gelatin in the pan and stir
- Put the pan in the cold water to cool down the mixture
- Pour in cups
