About the Japanese Sake set

For Kohiki, a base material with a high iron clay is used, and a white slip is applied on top of it.

3-4 parts of Tokkuri (sake bottle) is dented on the side, in order to fit in your hand comfortably.

The sake set has a rustic feel with a white and gray colour.

About the Sake

Sake 01 Junmai Daiginjo Genshu 72cl

As their iconic “Grand Cru” sake, the Junmai Daiginjo Genshu receives special care and attention from the team of Akashi Sake Brewery.

The most intense flavours of the Yamadanishiki rice have been drawn out to achieve a highly floral, delicate sake with a salty palate and a rich and aromatic minerality.

Properties

A nose that offers an explosion of aromas, including melon, lemon, bitter orange, sage and subtle herbaceous notes. The palate offers a perfect balance of lemon and bitter orange to offer a long-lasting finish.

About Akashi Sake Brewery

-A Fine Artisanal Sake with Character-

Akashi Sake brewery was established in 1917 in Hyogo prefecture of Japan.

Through the delicate process of sake rice and sake brewing harvested in the local Hyogo, the various personalities of sake are brewed.
Sake with different tastes and aromas is born.

The quality of the pure sake ‘Akashi-Tai’, which has its own individuality, is also recognized and achieved many excellent results at many liquor appraisals.

‘Tai’ is ‘sea bream’ in Japanese.  The seabream in the Akashi area is renowned as ‘the King of Seabream’ with its deliciousness.  Akashi-Tai is the origin of the brand “Sake Akashi-Tai” and their lucky charm The seabream is printed together with the writing ‘明石鯛’ (Akashi-Tai) in the bottle.

Deliveries of Sake:

Free delivery for orders over 50 euros in Malta (we do not deliver to Gozo).

The orders received by Wednesday noon will be delivered during the weekend in Malta and on Friday in Gozo.

Local pick up is available in Naxxar (anytime agreed) & Sliema (Mon-Fri 12:00-17:00) from Thursday noon onwards for orders received by Wednesday noon.
