Handamde Kimono Scarf Wool | Tōkaidō

This scarf is made from authentic Japanese Kimono.

The base colour is grey.

The material is wool and it has two layers.

The front pattern has a design describing Tōkaidō.

The Tōkaidō road (東海道, Tōkaidō, [to̞ːka̠ido̞ː]), which roughly means “eastern sea route,” was the most important of the Five Routes of the Edo period in Japan, connecting Kyoto to Edo (modern-day Tokyo).

The back side also has Kimono material in brown and the pattern is called Kanoko.

The Kanoko (Pique) pattern is a traditional Japanese pattern that is auspicious and is based on the white spots on the back of a fawn. Pique is a rare pattern that combines cuteness and luxury.
