Hohin or Houhin is a small Japanese tea pot which is used for brewing high quality tea leaves for small quantities such as Gyokuro and high quality Sencha. In Japanese it is written as: 宝瓶 (Hohin), which means ‘treasure jar’.
This Hohin is simple but has a sophisticated and contemporary look.
The spout has small holes so that the tea leaves will not come out when pouring the water in your cup (last photo).
There is a stamp of artist ‘信夫’ at the back of teapot.
