Handmade Kimono Silk Scarf | Botan

This is a handmade Silk Scarf made from an authentic Kimono specifically 振袖 Furisode.

Furisode is a style of kimono distinguishable by its long sleeves and they are worn on a special occasion such as ‘Coming of Age ceremony’ or wedding (married women do not wear Furisode).

Therefore the design is more gorgeous and appealing than the narrow silk scarf.

Every scarf is very unique and double sided.

This scarf has a purplish blue and light pink theme.

The large flowers are Botan (peonies) and there are other flowers such as Plum blossoms and chrysanthemum.

The back side fabric has a woven pattern in light pink (see more photos).

It is wide enough to cover your shoulders.
