Handmade Kimono Silk Scarf | Hanabatake

This is a handmade Silk Scarf made from an authentic Kimono specifically 振袖 Furisode.

Furisode is a style of kimono distinguishable by its long sleeves and they are worn on a special occasion such as ‘Coming of Age ceremony’ or wedding (married women do not wear Furisode).

Therefore the design is more gorgeous and appealing than the narrow silk scarf.

Every scarf is very unique and double sided.

This scarf features Silk Chirimen fabric (crêpe) and flowers and butterflies in different colours are designed.

The front is dark blue and the back is orange.

The back fabric is also Chirmen and there is also embroidered flowers and over all it’s a one of a kind work!
