What is Hina Matsuri

Hinamatsuri (雛祭り), also called Doll’s Day or Girls’ Day is a religious (Shinto) holiday in Japan, celebrated on 3March of each year.

Japanese families who have daughters decorate a set of ornamental dolls (雛人形, hina-ningyō) representing the Emperor, Empress, attendants, and musicians in traditional court dress of the Heian period to wish good health and prosperity of their daughters.

About this kit

These kits are produced by a company which specializes Japanese paper ‘和紙 Washi’.

The gorgeous Yuzen papers will help make beautiful ornament.

There is also an English instruction included which is easy to understand with an illustration.
