Japanese Authentic Matcha Bowl Asagi

This is a shallow Matcha bowl made in Mino Gifu prefecture of Japan.

The characteristic of Mino ware is that there are various types.  Mino ware does not have only one type, and 15 types are designated as traditional crafts.

As for this Matcha bowl, two kinds of glazes were used inside and outside of the bowl in order to create an elegant and deluxe look.  The colour of inside is similar to 浅葱色; Asagi-iro, Japanese traditional colour similar to turquoise.  I love this colour and it will enhance the jade colour of our ceremonial grade Matcha even more!
