Mizuhiki earrings Umi (Handmade)

Mizuhiki is an ancient Japanese art form that uses a special cord made from strong Washi.

Mizuhiki has 3 meanings

1.  It is a proof that it is unopened (it is decorated on a monetary gift envelope)

2.  A talisman

3. “Connecting people” because the more you pull it, the stronger it becomes.

Nowadays, it seems that it is often used mainly for the third meaning.

These earrings’ Ume flowers are made with 3 cords by hand.

colour:  Two tones Blue flower with a peal bead and silver clutch back

The size of flower: approx. 2.0cm diameter

The length of earring from the top to the bottom: approx. 3.5cm
