Vintage Kiyomizu ware Fuji-gata Yunomi tea cup | Taki

It is shaped as the Mount. Fuji when put up-side down.

Inside the tea cup famous sights to watch Mount. Fuji are painted.

This particular cup was designed after 白糸の滝 Shiraito no Taki – waterfall in Shizuoka prefecture near Mount. Fuji.

You can also use it to serve Japanese side dish or as a Soba noodle’s dipping cup.

This is a pre-owned piece but it doesn’t seem to have been used.  A new one costs more than double.

Inheriting the tradition of “Kyoto Kiyomizu ware” and reflecting on the modern sense, he is constantly pursuing innovative ceramics.

Mori Shunzan

1957: He was born in Kyoto

He received many awards since 1980.

1983: He was certified as a traditional craftsman.
Currently, he is the chairman of the cooperative in the Sennyuji area, serving as a judge of the National Ceramic Design Protection Council, and is dedicated to the development of the ceramics industry.
